Paris lives with her guardian family in Harleysville, PA. We’ve enjoyed having Paris visit while her family is enjoying a vacation, but no one can tell you quite what a dog is like but the family who loves them. Here is what Paris’ family has to say. “It didn’t take long for Paris to steal a piece of our hearts! Her playful disposition provides a constant source of entertainment and laughter for our family. Her signature move is running excitedly around the coffee table, leaping up and down from the sofas. In addition to being playful, Paris is really smart and has mastered many skills including sit, lay, come, roll over, paw, hug, and high five. She even seems to have a built-in alarm clock to help alert us when our daughter’s bus is soon to arrive. While she’s very excited to see our daughter home from school,

Bella lives in a guardian home and, because they love her most and know her best, I asked them to share something about her and this is what they wrote, “Bella is the BEST. Dog. Anyone. Could. Ask. For. Bella is so sweet but also very playful. She loves to play with people but she also loves to play with dogs. Bella is so extremely loyal to her family. When she sees us, we are immediately lick-attacked so she can show us how much she loves us. One of Bella’s favorite things is to be outside - she will spend hours sunbathing, going for walks or hikes, or playing with humans and dogs while outside. She loves to play inside with her toys, too! Don’t be surprised to see all of her toys scattered about because she loves to play! Bella is extremely smart, too. She knows tons of commands and can communicate her needs easily. When she wants to go for a walk - she boops you on the leg, boops your shoes, and boops her leash. “I’m ready!” is the message she is giving. Bella loves her family…every night she checks on us before bed. Then she picks someone to stay with for the night and she moves around as she sees fit. She is a fun-loving dog that we absolutely adore!

Addie is a sweet girl who loves everyone she meets. She enjoys walks around the neighborhood as well as car rides. She is very smart and was a star in her training classes. Addie loves to play with her doggie brother and cousin across the street but is also content to settle down for a good chew on a favorite toy. She especially loves getting lots of attention from her humans and will position herself between mom and dad on the sofa so they can both give her pets and scratches!

Tesla lives with a local guardian family in her primary role as beloved family pet. Tesla’s guardian family says, “Tesla is a sweet fun-loving dog who loves to hang out with her family. She can be energetic and playful, but can easily transition to cuddle with you under a blanket. She loves to play in the freshly laid snow, chase after tennis balls, go for car rides, play tug with a rope or her favorite blanket, as well as go for long walks in the neighborhood. Tesla also enjoys her visits to PetSmart to see the birds and guinea pigs. She watches them intensely and wonders why they can’t play. Tesla is a picky eater with fruits and veggies, but she will do anything to devour a bone or dehydrated smoked pig ear in five minutes! She is so amazing and makes our lives fulfilled with unconditional love.

Chai lives with her guardian family in Lancaster, and enjoys her large extended family which includes a cat friend she has made. Chai’s favorite thing is being with her family, and she is a hugger. She’ll lean in, cheek to cheek, for a good squeeze at regular intervals throughout the day. With her coat being incredibly soft, it’s impossible to resist her hugs! Chai’s second favorite thing is playing fetch with her stuffed toys or balls, but she always waits for you to throw two at once because fetching one at a time is just too simple for her intelligent mind. We thoroughly enjoy Chai’s super smart, easy-going, quirky personality, and we get compliments on her good behavior and adorableness everywhere she goes.

Soarin lives with her guardian family as cherished family pet. Her family says, “Soarin is the guardian, the watcher, the observer, and my co-facilitator for any and all webinars and classes. She is incredibly smart and observant and learns new commands and routines easily. She loves walks at the park, rides in the car, and visiting pet stores, Lowe's, and Bass Pro Shop. She is always ready for her treat at the counter at the pet store. She even loves the groomer. She nicely tolerates her feline housemate. Her only real dislike is wet grass! She has traveled to Wisconsin to visit family and to South Carolina to visit the beach. She loved the beach, and is a pro at staying in hotels and riding the elevators. She is very calm, good-natured, gentle, and affectionate. Her puppy hugs and snuggles are the best!”

Laika is our own little cat dog. She can curl up into any tiny space, so long as it means she will be snuggled up with you. If your laptop is on your lap and there's only a couple of inches between you and the sides of the recliner - no problem, she can fit! She is a little drama queen if she gets hurt. She loves puppies and is always interested in hopping in with them to give them all a good sniff. Outside, she loves to run with them, even if they're on the other side of a fence. Laika is named after the first dog to orbit the earth.

Maverick is adoring dog, calm and loving. He lives with a nearby family and they have been so grateful for this gentle sweetheart. Maverick spent his puppyhood on a sprawling ranch in rural Oregon with other dogs and kids, so we weren’t sure how he’d handle the hustle and bustle of a cross-country move and a new family. We placed him in a guardian home, but circumstances necessitated a move for him. His new guardians have told me several times that they just can't believe how incredibly sweet and gentle he is. I have been so pleased with his persistence and willingness to do new things. Even when you know he feels tentative or uncertain, he is willing to go forward, to try new things, meet new people, and has transitioned beautifully. I see this resilience and desire to please coming through in his puppies as well.
