Meet Baloo - pending
Multigenerational Australian Labradoodle
Gender: Male
Born December 20
Anticipated Size/Weight: Medium, 40 pounds
Dam: Maple Lane’s Princess Leia
Sire: Rogue Valley’s Top Gun Maverick
Litter: Just the Bare Necessities
Vaccinations: First 2 rounds of Parvo/Distemper
Training: Crate-trained, Car rides, Socialization Outings
In Process: Potty-training, leash-training, basic family manners
Temperament: Baloo would love nothing more than to snuggle all day long. If you want a lower-energy pup who will adore you and snuggle on the couch, you have found your companion! Baloo scored highest on attentiveness to people, learning and problem-solving speed, patience, eye contact and following. He scored in the middle of the road for trainability, self-confidence, and stability. He is more sensitive to sudden movements and noises and needs a minute to adjust to new situations and assess things that move quickly or are unexpectedly noisy. Baloo is highly food-motivated. Baloo would do best in a home with kids over 10, but would be fine with younger kids visiting. Living with younger children and the noises and quick movements that they bring will be tiring for him, but he likes to run and follow along once he feels safe. He would make a great pup for grandparents or others who would have a quieter day-to-day. Baloo gives the best hugs and tucks his head onto your shoulder in the most endearing way. You will fall in love with him at the first cuddle.
Meet PIPPI - MEETING HER FAMILY SOON!
Multigenerational Australian Labradoodle
Gender: Female
Born January 15
Anticipated Size/Weight: Mini, 15-20 pounds
Dam: Maple Lane’s Coral (Millie)
Sire: Aussie L's Dublin (at Eden Valley Labradoodles)
Litter: Classic Children's Characters
Vaccinations: First 3 rounds of Parvo/Distemper
Training: Crate-trained, Car rides, Socialization Outings
In Process: Potty-training, leash-training, basic family manners
Temperament: Pippi loves to run and play, but she needs a minute to assess new things and situations. She scored highest in trainability, learning and problem-solving speeds, patience, resilience, stability, eye contact, and following. Pippi scored high on environmental and people focus, which means that she is distractible by things going on around her and people around her. She also scored high on task and activity focus, which means she will train easily. In general, she is enthusiastic about everything and learns very well, but training in public places with lots of new things and people will be more challenging for her because she will want to greet everyone and see everything. She has many qualities of a therapy dog, except that her environmental focus would divert her attention when out in public.
She scored at the lower end for sensitivity to sudden movements and unexpected noises. Pippi is fun and sweet and ready to find her family!
Interested in a puppy, but the timing is just not lining up? Intimidated and want some help with early socialization and potty training? Need a puppy to be able to stay in a crate for longer periods due to your schedule or have a vacation or other out-of-town trip planned? Our Jump Start Training may be just the answer. Just like the name implies, we give your pup a jump start with potty training, crate training, outings, leash walking, and basic family manners training. Your puppy will stay in our home, play with our dogs, cuddle on the couch, accompany us on errands and other trips, and work on basic training in short intervals throughout the day while we build potty-training skills and continue crate-training. Our training families are welcome to visit puppies and even take them out for the day to begin to build their bond. Jump Start puppies receive all immunizations and care needed while in training. Each of them goes home with instructions for you on what they know and how to continue their skills. Training spaces are limited as we can only properly attend to the needs of a few at once. Contact us for more information.
